After being previously placed on hold, Amazon ‘s same-day delivery service returns today on selected products.
At the height of the pandemic in March and April, the e-commerce giants placed a priority on essential items to customers most in need.
It meant items that didn’t fall under the categories of food, health and personal care products could take as long as a month to arrive at your door.
As one of the few companies that continued unabated, Amazon hired an additional 175,000 individuals to their workforce throughout the past few months.
According to their daily blog, they are also said to have made 150 procedural changes with social-distancing to enhanced cleaning measures put in place.
Today, one of the main perks of being a Prime member resumes operation with ‘Evening Deliveries’ an option upon checkout once again.
Same-day deliveries incur no additional costs for Prime members but are also available to non-Prime members for a £5.99 charge.
Please also be advised that Amazon Prime’s same-day delivery service is only available in selected postcodes around the UK including Greater London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and a few more.
You can find out whether your area is included, by typing in your postcode through this link.
Items ordered arrive between 6pm and 10pm with no minimum order required.
